THE TREND MISSION

“TREND“ is an apolitical company that strives to unite individuals throughout the world by offering a tangible avenue to voice their opinions concerning, but not limited to, present day political, societal, and environmental issues.

Throughout the world, people recognize that there are many differences existing between our cultures, viewpoints and beliefs. These differences are often so prevalent that we fail to remember our similarities.

TREND is a clothing company ready to unite citizens across the globe by raising awareness of social issues. Each of their eight t-shirt models will benefit different non-profit organizations as a catalyst for the growing concern of the planet as whole.

The visual display of hundreds, thousands, or even millions of these t-shirts will provide a tangible avenue to express an individuals voice that the world will see with their own eyes. The world population is the target market; through unity in ever-increasing numbers, TREND will offer the world population the means to bring about change.

TREND is working to unite humanity by emphasizing our commonalities. T-shirts are available in white, red, pink, green, blue, navy, black, and yellow. By raising awareness of worldwide issues such as: the safe return of military troops, the AIDS pandemic, breast cancer research, global warming, advocate the use of eco-friendly products, men and women of the Fire Departments, and P.O.W’s. TREND is able to promote international social change. The effortless act of wearing a TREND t-shirt is a way of setting differences aside and supporting a global society.

All t-shirts will feature the TREND logo printed on the front and the statement “BE HEARD” in smaller print below the collar on back. The uniqueness comes from the assignment of an individual number to each t-shirt sold, thus, it is one of a kind.

Expansion into other merchandise will allow TREND to grow exponentially. TREND has recently experienced an expansion into fashion items which are unique and offer individuality. They include vintage style denim jeans, polo shirts, and summer wear, respectfully.

“The effortless act of wearing a TREND t-shirt is a way of setting differences aside and supporting a global society,“ comments TREND founder, Ken Eckhauser. He goes on to say, “My aim is to strengthen the world.“

A percentage of TREND sales will benefit charity organizations which include but are not limited to: the Wounded Heroes Foundation, America Supports You, The Fisher House, the National AIDS Fund, the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, the National Environmental Education Foundation, the National Wildlife Federation and the Joyce Foundation. With the growth of TREND, more non-profit organizations will follow.

Future additions will be carried out, most notably The TREND Foundation, which will receive a percentage of the sales revenue. The foundation’s goal is to not only offer assistance to those families that have lost loved ones, to the returning troops with life-long disabilities and medical payments, counselors to help those who experience Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), but to lend support to all worldwide causes.

Assistance from individuals such as you will provide the means to bring TREND and its goal both to the public’s attention and to the military personnel overseas. We at TREND are aware that the troops know their families and friends anticipate their safe return; however, we feel that is simply not enough. The TREND Foundation will show our troops that not only their families, but also the American people, are here for them upon their return.

TREND’s future is limitless. There are infinite possibilities and avenues for growth. TREND offers you the opportunity to be a part of something magnificent and larger than ourselves. Conflicts and causes are taking place throughout the world on a daily basis; therefore, TREND will never lose its identity. TREND’s future will continue to unite individuals throughout the world by offering a tangible avenue to voice their opinions concerning present-day political, social, and environmental issues.

We may live in a diverse world, but each of us has common voices that need to be heard. The more we wear together, the more noticeable that voice will become. The world will never be a perfect place, but change can happen. Through that change TREND will bring a sense of aspiration to each person on our beloved planet.

ACHEIVEMENTS

-Creator of “To Remain Equal-Never Divided“ Event, where high profile musicians and TREND unite through a night of Rock & Fashion generating proceeds for non-profit organizations.

-Feature designer in AIDS Foundation of Chicago fashion show, Make A Statement: Design for The Cure, generating over thirty-five thousand dollars in donations.

-Established relationships with key sponsors: Miller Lite, Budweiser, and RJR, HOOTERS.

-Developed a retail partnership with Wiessman Gallery in downtown Chicago, Dorm Daze Gallery in downtown Bowling Green, Ohio.

-TREND Launch Event-March 2008. TREND announces arrival to the Chicago fashion industry held at Enclave Nightclub, Chicago, IL, and media coverage present.

-Created and developed relations with prominent music bands to support non- profits.

-Developed partnerships with logistical/supply chain members.

THE FUTURE OF TREND
A) My proposal for a collaborative concert presents limitless opportunities. I would like to use a venue such as, the House of Blues. Currently the proposal is being considered by bands including, but not limited to, Danny Nova, Joe Taylor, Late Night Hooligan Rif Raf, The Audition, and more. The House of Blues continues to reinforce its world renowned reputation for offering artists immeasurable assistance with exposure and growth. However, it is the opportunity for each band to support their favorite charity which really makes the event special. It will bring further awareness of these global/domestic causes and grow support. TREND, for example, will be supporting the AIDS Foundation of Chicago.

I feel as a collective group, the musicians, House of Blues, and TREND working together to support all causes and each other only offers supreme levels of exposure, and the stage to reach a diverse demographical audience. Additionally, there is the continued notoriety through the association with multiple non-profit organizations, and their future growth. A visual display of great magnitude expressing the change in growth of support for each cause is through growing the persons wearing the individually numbered TREND t-shirts.

Ultimately, on a date TBA each party has the opportunity to support a cause in desperate need of change. It is through our chosen diverse avenues, as either a musician/band, a fiercely strong reputation as a stand alone musical venue, or a benevolent fashion company trying to grow, that reignites a feeling which has eluded our society…Hope.

I believe that with our collective hearts and efforts we can provide immeasurable support, building the awareness of these charitable causes, but also create an event that will grow in size and occurrence.

B) “The Face of TREND” is a nationwide search for colligates who can earn the opportunity to act as TREND representatives at their university. Representatives will act as the liaisons responsible for executing philanthropic events and more based on prior approval. Chosen students will be placed on advertising media further acknowledging their selflessness.

C) An internship program is currently in the developmental stage which will allow fashion design students the opportunity to design clothing for TREND while building their professional portfolio. The clothing will be sold through the TREND website with recognition for the designed garment given to the designer. The internship also offers these selected students the chance to be a part of a young company that will grow exponentially with no limit as to how far.

D) A publication which will further allow individuals to express their opinions through written articles and interviews, for example. This is in the preliminary stage and continues to develop.
